PoolOur own purpose built swimming pool is a valued facility. The pool is heated and includes a large spa for therapy and fun. It includes changing facilities, showers and all the types of resources you could expect at any swim school. In a well ventellated environment this wonderfully clean and inviting facility is a favourite location at school for all students.
Library
Our brand new Library (2009) was built with the needs of our students in mind to include a range of both traditional library functions and more technological considerations. The library has an electronic borrowing system that manages a multitude of books, magazines, Video, DVD's and music CD's for students to borrow. The library is also equiped with state of the art touch screen technology allowing students access to talking books and interactive media.
Multi-sensory RoomThe Multi Sensory Room contains specifically designed equipment which encourages exploration, communication and participation to develop all senses.
GymThe school has a fully equiped purpose built gym . The gym accomodates equipment such as a Passive Exerciser, Body Torque Leg Press, Life Cycle Bike 5500, Orbit Bike, Life Cycle Bike 8500, Tuntura Cross Trainer, Chest Press, Health Stream Treadmill, Oxford Rowing Machine, Boxing Bag, hand held equipment, Exercise Balls and free weights. The program aims for the gym are outlined under OT in the therapy and specialist descriptions.
Multipurpose Hall
The Multipurpose hall at Croydon SDS is used for a range of purposes and is subsequently spacious enough to house school assemblies, PMP, Music sessions, dance and physical education activities. The stage at the front offers opportunities for drama and presentations. Included at the rear of the hall is a fully equiped kitchen and storage facilities.
Senior Outdoor Area
Senior Playground We are very lucky to have beautiful grounds at Croydon SDS. Our outdoor areas are complimented by well maintained gardens and equipment that is suitable to all those in our school.
Junior Outdoor AreaThe junior playground is made up of a series of bike tracks, playground equipment, swings, large sandpit and undercover areas all set in landscaped gardens.
